One Summer---America,1927

By Bill Bryson
You know me when I find a new author that I like I will read as many of their books as I can find.
That is as long as they are well written . This book is all about 1927 and you will not believe what
all went on then. We were a great America and moving up in the world.
Still we had the bad and ugly. I am glad I read this book.

Haunted Memphis

By Laura Cunningham

I read this not because I am in to ghost stories. I grew up in Memphis
and know the places she is writing about. Interesting stories, I had never heard about.
Memphis was a wonderful place to have grown up in back in the 1940's to the 1960's
then Memphis became different.

Highland Fling

By Nancy Mitford
We had  the biography of the Mitford sisters at book club.
It was very interesting about them before and after World War II.
They were very superficial and superior class of people. Or that was my
opinion. I did not like her book, it was said the people in the book were about her family.
