The Eighty-Dollar Champion

By Elizabeth Letts
I don't know how I missed this book. Wonderful story of a way of life in America and the coming end to it . History of  the horse's place in America and the end of it. A heart warming story of love between a man his family and a horse. Just didn't end the way I wanted it to but that is true life.

A Year Down Yonder

By Richard Peck
Short story but worth the read.
About a girl and her grandmother and hard times in a small town.
It will make you smile.

The Grass Harp

By Turman Capote
I liked The Grass Harp. There are two other short  stories  in this book
I didn't care for  A Tree of Night.

Weekends At Bellevue

By Julie Holland M.D.

A sad thing is going on in this city and I am sure all over the United States in Psych ER.
