Johnny Carson

By Henry Bushkin
I loved to watch this show in the old days when things made sense. And the safe place
we knew we lived in where people didn't hate. Where we laughed and had the very best comedy shows to watch. I don't remember in the last 5 years any
feel good or laughable show's to watch any more on T.V. That is why I just watch  old movies, and read books.
This book is a sad ending to a golden world gone.

I have happy memories of watching him and many other shows that were tasteful, funny and enjoyable. TV is horrible these days. I hardly watch anything but home decorating or cooking.

I read this book in 2013, and it was an eye-opener to say the least. The shy Johnny we were led to believe he was, turns out he wasn't that shy little mid-west boy after all.

I did love watching The Tonight Show when he was the host, but all good things must come to an end, as the saying goes. Like you, I don't care for much on TV anymore. That is why I read so much also. Happy Reading in 2014.

Yes, Gigi Ann he was a messed up man, like most of the movie and T.V. star's. You can sure say with him (money was the root of all evil).

We never saw the show in the UK but I know exactly what you mean. We think our telly is poor too. far too much poor reality type shows with idiotic people most are loud & foul mouthed. Others are stupid talent shows.

We have dozens of channels but less decent programmes to watch than when we just had three, BBC1, BBC2 & ITV! And that's progress?

Today's lesson was on simplicity. Oh, I long for that in a world gone mad.
