Are better still for me, I kind of ruined my small mat ironing on it.

How very nice. I love your choice of fabric.
I ruined my large cutting mat in exactly the same way. Now I use it as a "drop cloth". Whenever I paint and glue and do messy stuff, I do it on my ruined mat!
I have one of those cut n' press. I love it! I don't have to haul out the ironing board. If I have something small to block I do it on that. It's wonderful.
